How School Limits Work (100 School Plan + Add-Ons)
Your Active School Limit
Every RECRUITED account includes 100 active schools in your target list. This limit is designed to help you focus on quality over quantity—research shows that targeted outreach to fewer, well-matched programs gets better results than mass emailing hundreds of coaches.
What Counts as an Active School?
A school becomes "active" in your list when:
- You manually add it to your target schools
- You send an email to any coach at that school
- You receive a reply from a coach at that school
Removing Schools
You can remove a school from your active list at any time to free up a slot. Simply go to your Schools page and click the remove button. This won't delete your email history with that school—it just frees the slot for a new school.
Need More Than 100 Schools?
If you're a high-volume recruiter or want to cast a wider net, you can purchase add-ons:

Automatic School Addition
When you compose an email to a coach, if their school isn't already in your list and you have room, it's added automatically. If you're at your limit, you'll be prompted to either upgrade or remove an existing school.
