Writing Effective Recruiting Emails

Personalized emails get significantly higher response rates from college coaches. Here are the best practices for crafting emails that get noticed:

Be Genuine and Specific

Coaches can tell when they receive a mass email. Reference specific things about their program that attracted you.

Keep It Concise

Coaches are busy. Get to the point while still being personable. Aim for 3-4 paragraphs maximum.

Include Your Key Information

• Your graduation year and position
• Your academic stats (GPA, test scores)
• Link to your highlight video
• Your upcoming schedule so they can watch you play

Proofread Everything
